Web Development
If you've got artwork for web or print ad campaigns (flyers, posters, admats, etc.), I can take them and optimize them for the Web using Web Standards compliant coding practices. Why is it important that your Web site be Web Standards compliant? Because:
- It improves your Web site's visibility on the top search engines.
- It makes your information accessible to a variety of Web browsers as well as other electronic devices.
- It makes your Web site easier to update making your next redesign much less costly.
- It will eliminate the need for endless nested
<table>tags thereby creating cleaner code which will significantly improve download times.
Simply put: your business can't afford not to be Web Standards compliant.
Likewise, if you already have a Web site but it was built using a WYSIWYG application (e.g. Front Page, Dreamweaver, etc.), I can update the code to a more modular, Web standards compliant site.
Design
After working for over 6 years on Web sites in the entertainment industry, I've developed a keen eye for identifying Web usability issues. When looking at a Web site from a usability standpoint, one should always ask:
- Is the purpose of this Web site immediately conveyed to the user?
- Is the information I'm looking for easily accessible?
- Is this information easy to scan through?
- Is the navigation intuitively structured?
- Has each page passed validation or does the page contain any coding errors?
I can look over your existing Web site, assess the strengths and weaknesses of your Web site and determine how to better achieve your business goals.
Consulting
Already have a Web site but need someone to do the handle the day-to-day updates? Together we can come up with a retainer agreement based on the anticipated amount of work to be done per month, whether it's 5 hours per month or 50 hours.
